I'm a UX/UI Designer making data-driven works of art.
What do you get when you combine a background in Theater, Linguistics, German, and Arabic with 3 years of teaching experience, a Masters in Arts Management and a penchant for improv comedy?
Linguistics: How to sit down with a wide swath of data and look for patterns. In UX, this makes me a dogged researcher, determined to test solutions until the data bears them out.
Improv Comedy: How to make your scene partner look good. Your job is to make everyone else look like absolute geniuses, and that's the key to great collaboration in any team.
Teaching: How to adjust for your audience. One size does not fit all in teaching as in UX: Everyone thinks and learns differently, and will need different experiences.
Arts Management: How to translate between differing stakeholders. I translate between those who "speak business" and those who "speak art", and in UX, I'm able to translate design concepts to clients effectively.
